Kyary Pamyu Pamyu

I tried to pitch Caroline Charonplop Kyary Pamyu Pamyu to the estimable Blog of Funny Names in their comment section, but alas, they didn’t bite. I guess her name wasn’t funny enough . . . If only it were something like Regina Wrolingswold Wrigglebottom, or Dame Lucinda Sandcastle Scratch’nsniff.

Sigh. I guess I’ll just have to do it myself. But you guys are gonna be durn sorry you let this one get away!

That said, it’s going to take more than just one post to explore the phenomenon of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. And anyway, I have two obstacles to overcome. First, as a new WordPress blogger, I have to master that “uploading of images” thing. (For what is Kyary without photo stills?). Second, I have to grapple with the all-important-question, “Is Kyary Pamyu Pamyu a genius, or is she just an ordinary gal who just happened to be at the right place at the right time?” (Or, depending on your point of view, the wrong place at the wrong time.) This seems like a pretty straightforward question, but the answer is consequential. And it will determine the approach to the subject matter.
