Follow Your Heart & Joe Farrell Quartet

A very, very classic set from (you guessed it!) the 70s. 70s forever!

From Joe Farrell Quartet (1970), re-released in 1974 as Song of the Wind. Joe Farrell (sax), John McLaughlin (guitar and composer), Jack DeJohnette (drums), Dave Holland (bass). This is a beautiful McLaughlin composition. I have been trying hard to find this version on Youtube for a long time, but I was looking for “McLaughlin” and forgot to look for “Joe Farrell”. I used to have this album on vinyl. This song has a lilt because it’s in 11/8 time. Or you could think of it as 4/4 with a little 3/8 at the end.
