Tommy Lee Jones CM #14

Agent TLJ works as an extra in a samurai drama, and gets cut from the scene for overacting.

TLJ uses the expression kuuki yomenai, a newish expression meaning, literally, can’t read the air or atmosphere. It really means “can’t read the mood,” or more basically it means speaking or acting in a way inappropriate to the situation around you. Kuuki yomenai has been further reduced to just “K.Y.” As in, “That was really K.Y.” Or, “He’s totally K.Y.”
