Beautiful song, and I admire the irony in the lyrics. Alzheimer’s is such a terrible disease. He died exactly one year to the day after my father passed from the same disease.
Thanks, Fannie.
I’m very sorry about your dad.
Thanks Mdiddy.
It was probably one of the most bitter-sweet experiences of my life and I wouldn’t have traded it for the world. 🙂
Great song. I have the Lenard Nimoy version of it.
Put the rocks down, please.
This is another great one of his –
But the one that I most identify with him – probably because I heard it as a kid – is “Rhinestone Cowboy.”
Hey, I would click to hear Nimoy sing “Everybody’s Talking.” And I would enjoy it unironically, without pretending to love to hate it.
If you haven’t read it, check out the book <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Wrecking-Crew-Inside-Best-Kept-Secret/dp/1250030463/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1504235562&sr=1-1&keywords=the+wrecking+crew"The Wrecking Crew" Glen Campbell is featured prominently in it.
This is also good, there is some discussion of Christianity at a couple points.
Hm, html didn’t work. I think I messed up a tag. Sorry.
I did get that! Thanks! Great performance.
I only learned after his death that Glen was on the wrecking crew, an association which you were the first one to tell me about.
I’ve been off on an extended voyage and just got back. Good to get back to see an NSR comment!
Oh, now I see what you were just talking about. OK, got both links, but I don’t know why the comment didn’t go through. Good stuff!
Hereby copy NSR’s lost message:

It was missing a line break–what snagged it.
